Free Agents
The Free Agents page lets you hire drivers generated by other teams who have been released, as well as view available talent. Access it from Office > Free Agents.
How Free Agency Works
When a driver is fired by another team (or leaves through other means), they become a free agent. You can hire them to fill a slot on your team.
Constraints
- You must have an open driver slot (max 4 drivers)
- Or you can fire one of your existing drivers to make room
- A driver refuses to work for a team that previously fired them
Hiring Process
1. Browse available free agents 2. Select a driver to hire 3. If your team is full, choose which driver to fire 4. Confirm the transaction
Firing Drivers
You can fire your own drivers to create space for free agents. Fired drivers enter the free agent pool.
Considerations:
- Firing uses up a driver slot's availability
- The fired driver will refuse to rejoin your team
- You lose any investment in that driver's XP and development
Driver Details
Each free agent card shows:
- Name and nationality
- Level and age
- Skills (Pace/Racecraft/Technical)
- Previous team (if applicable)
- Why they became a free agent
Tips
- Check free agents regularly for talent upgrades
- Consider the cost-benefit of replacing a developing driver
- XP and skill distribution matter more than raw level
