Car Setup
The
Car Setup page is where you assign drivers to cars and install upgraded parts. Access it from Race Week > Car Setup.
Assigning Drivers
Each car needs a driver. Use the
Driver dropdown on each car card to assign a driver:
- A driver can only be assigned to one car
- Already-assigned drivers show which car they are in
- Every car must have a driver to participate in races
Car Parts
Each car has six upgradable parts:
- Suspension - affects slow-corner handling (diff setup)
- Chassis - affects suspension setup accuracy
- Transmission - affects race starts (launch reaction, Turn 1 composure)
- Brakes - affects brake setup accuracy
- Engine - affects gearing setup accuracy
- Aero - affects aero setup accuracy
Each part has a
Level (1-10). Higher levels reduce the penalty from imperfect setups.
Part Levels Explained
- Level 1 = default, full penalty
- Level 5 = 0.8x penalty factor
- Level 10 = 0.55x penalty factor (best)
The currently installed level is shown as "Level X (installed)".
Installing Parts
Select a level from the dropdown to install that part. If the part is in your inventory, it gets consumed. The previously installed part returns to inventory.
Parts at Level 1 are always available for free (default parts).
Inventory Sidebar
The right sidebar shows all upgraded parts (Level 2+) currently in your inventory. Parts are created in the
Engineering page.
Car Image
If you have designed a livery in the
Car Customizer, the car preview image is shown. Otherwise a placeholder appears with a link to the customizer.
