Practice

The Practice page lets you run practice laps to find the optimal car setup for each circuit. Access it from Race Week > Practice.

How Practice Works

You get 5 practice attempts per car per round. Each attempt uses a setup configuration and returns a lap time with feedback.

Setup Parameters

Five adjustable parameters, each on a 0-100 scale:

Driver Feedback

After each practice run, your driver gives feedback on each of the five setup parameters. The feedback tells you how close each value is to the circuit's ideal:

The tolerance for "about right" depends on your driver's Technical skill and your car part levels (chassis, aero, engine, brakes). Higher skill and better parts give tighter feedback, so your driver can identify the perfect setup more precisely.

Initial Setup Estimate

Before your first practice run, the system provides a recommended starting setup. The accuracy of this estimate depends on your Head of Engineering's Engineering skill. A more skilled engineer gives a better starting point, reducing the number of practice runs needed.

Lap Time Display

Each practice attempt shows:

The fastest practice lap is highlighted.
