Welcome to BSR, the browser-based racing team management simulation where you build and manage your own GT racing team!
This guide will walk you through your first steps.
1. Create Your Team
Your first stop is the
Team Setup page (Office > Team Setup). Here you will:
- <strong>Choose a team name</strong> - pick carefully, it's locked once saved!
- <strong>Customise race suit colours</strong> - set the colours your drivers will wear
- <strong>Generate drivers</strong> - create up to 4 drivers with unique skills
- <strong>Set car numbers</strong> - each car gets a number (changeable once per season)
2. Understand Your Drivers
Each driver has three skills that sum to 100:
- <strong>Pace</strong> - affects fast-corner and straight-line performance
- <strong>Racecraft</strong> - affects slow-corner feel, tyre wear, and overtaking
- <strong>Technical</strong> - reduces weather penalties, mechanical failures, lap variance, and determines race start performance
Drivers gain experience (XP) by participating, which raises their level and boosts all effective skills.
3. Check Your Staff
Each driver comes with a
Crew Chief and 4
Pit Crew members. Your team also has a
Head of Engineering. Visit the
Staff page to view them.
4. Visit Engineering
The
Engineering page is where you allocate
Engineering Points (EP) each week to upgrade car parts. Better parts mean better performance!
5. Car Setup
On the
Car Setup page, assign drivers to cars and install upgraded parts from your inventory.
6. Race Weekend
When the game enters a race week (Weeks 1-12), you can:
- <strong>Practice</strong> - Run practice laps to find the perfect setup
- <strong>Qualifying</strong> - Set a qualifying time to determine grid position
- <strong>Race Setup</strong> - Configure pit strategy and final setup
- <strong>Race Results</strong> - View results after the race is run
7. Championships
Your drivers can enter
Championships via the
Championship Registration page. Each championship has its own calendar of circuits.
